In 2021, Carlsquare has advised on 63 transactions with an average transaction volume of EUR 94 million. 60% of these transactions involved private equity alone. In recent months, Carlsquare advised on two major lighthouse transactions. First, the sale of Telia International Carrier to Polhem Infra which was a complex corporate carve-out (EUR 900m EV) that was executed within 9 months, and thus made an extensive contribution to building a digital silk road under European leadership. Further was the acquisition of Ritter GmbH by Avantor, a leading global provider of mission-critical products and services to customers in the life sciences and advanced technologies & applied materials industries, which was an all-cash transaction with the purchase price of approximately EUR 1.2bn.
