Carlsquare advised Experience Brands on the full sale of Griven via MBO

Carlsquare acted as exclusive financial advisor to the private equity firm Sustainable Growth Management (“SGM”) and its portfolio company Experience Brands Sarl (“Experience Brands”) on the sale of Griven Srl (“Griven”), a preeminent provider of high-end outdoor architectural and landscape luminaires, to an investor group led by Luca Meinardi, the Griven CEO, for an undisclosed consideration.

Established in 1990 and headquartered in Mantova, Italy, Griven is a leading manufacturer of premium architectural outdoor lighting solutions, delivering landmark projects worldwide. The company combines deep technical expertise with a strong international footprint, operating a subsidiary in the UK and representative offices in New York, Mexico City, and Madrid. Griven luminaires are widely used in landmark architectural projects such as the Colosseum, Expo 2025 Osaka, and the upcoming Winter Olympics in Milan.

Experience Brands is an international group of lighting companies, managing three distinct brands across over 100 countries. One of these brands, Lamp is dedicated to providing technical and architectural lighting solutions for both indoor and outdoor spaces, while HessAmerica focuses on designing and manufacturing innovative high-quality outdoor luminaires and site furnishings.

Sustainable Growth Management, based in Luxembourg, invests in growth-stage companies within the sustainability and efficiency sectors across North America and Europe.
