Carlsquare advised Chargepoly on its Series B financing round
Carlsquare advised Chargepoly on its €23m Series B financing round led by Meridiam through its Meridiam Green Impact Growth Fund (“Meridiam GIGF”), alongside existing shareholder Fideve Groupe. The transaction supports Chargepoly’s continued execution of its business plan, as Europe and Canada accelerate the transition from diesel to electric heavy-duty trucks.
Founded in 2019 by Hadi Moussavi and headquartered in Aix-en-Provence, France, Chargepoly designs, deploys and operates high-performance DC charging infrastructure for heavy-duty fleets. The company offers an integrated solution combining advanced technology, project delivery and Charge Point Operator (CPO) capabilities. Its solutions are deployed across carrier depots, logistics warehouses, industrial sites, multimodal and port terminals, and bus and coach depots, decarbonizing more than one million kilometers of freight transport every month. Chargepoly operates hundreds of DC fast charging points across France, the UK and Canada.
Meridiam is an independent investment Benefit Corporation and asset manager specializing in the development, financing and long-term management of sustainable public infrastructure across three core sectors: sustainable mobility, critical public services and innovative low-carbon solutions. Founded in 2005 by Thierry Déau, Meridiam manages US$24 billion and more than 130 projects.
The investment is made through Meridiam’s Green Impact Growth Fund, dedicated to supporting high-growth companies developing innovative solutions in the green infrastructure space, with a focus on sustainable mobility and low-carbon transition. The fund targets businesses at a pivotal stage of scaling, providing both capital and strategic support through Meridiam’s global network.
The investment enables Chargepoly to scale operations, accelerate international expansion and further strengthen its integrated technology platform. Founder Hadi Moussavi will continue to lead Chargepoly, supported by Meridiam’s extensive network of transport infrastructure relationships across Europe and North America. This transaction also underscores Carlsquare’s continued expertise advising leading players in the energy transition and e-mobility infrastructure sector.
“As we enter a new phase of accelerated growth and our market undergoes rapid expansion, we have restructured our shareholding and carried out a capital increase with Meridiam as a new investor. Carlsquare provided us with valuable advice on this transaction.” – Hadi Moussavi, Founder, Chargepoly
