Carlsquare advised the management and shareholders of DataConsult, a leading Polish provider of mission-critical WMS software, on the sale of the Company to Elvaston, a Berlin-based private equity firm focused on enterprise software. The transaction marks Elvaston’s first investment in Poland and its entry into one of Europe’s most dynamic software and logistics markets.
Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Kraków, DataConsult is a leading Polish provider of mission-critical WMS software for manufacturers, distributors and third-party logistics firms. Its solutions support the digitization and automation of intralogistics across a broad range of warehouse environments, from manually operated facilities to fully automated high-bay warehouses. The ExpertWMS product family is complemented by value-added services and hardware resale, enabling the Company to offer a comprehensive, one-stop solution to its clients.
With more than 120 acquisitions, 24 platforms and EUR 3bn in AuM, Elvaston is a European private equity firm focused on acquiring majority stakes in well-positioned enterprise software companies, primarily in the DACH region and beyond.
The sell-side process was designed to identify the ideal partner to support DataConsult’s continued growth. The transaction enables Elvaston to enter Poland’s highly attractive and rapidly developing enterprise software market, while giving DataConsult a strong shareholder with the expertise and resources to accelerate its expansion. Rather than being acquired as an add-on to an existing platform, DataConsult will serve as a standalone investment with significant potential for further buy & build.
This marks Elvaston’s first investment in Poland and a strategic entry into one of Europe’s most dynamic software and logistics markets. The transaction further highlights Carlsquare’s role in providing prominent pan-European private equity firms with access to the Polish market, reinforcing its position as a trusted advisor in the technology sector.
