Carlsquare advised Dtales ApS, a fast-growing Danish company specializing in branded private label oral care products, on its 100% sale to Ekulf AB, a subsidiary of Hasko Invest AB. This transaction strengthens Ekulf’s position as a leading provider of oral and dental hygiene products in the Northern European market.
Dtales ApS was founded in 2003 and has since established itself as a trusted partner to customers in the retail and grocery sectors with sales across more than ten countries. The Copenhagen-based company has developed a comprehensive portfolio of private label oral and dental hygiene products, offered both under its own brands and as white label solutions.
Ekulf, founded in 1969, is a Swedish provider of oral and dental hygiene products, serving pharmacies, wholesalers, dental care professionals, and consumers across the Nordic region. Ekulf is a subsidiary of Hasko Invest, who makes selective investments in growing, profitable, and niche product companies in the Nordics.
The acquisition will enable Ekulf to expand sales to new customers, new markets, and to add new product development capabilities. Founder and CEO, Eva Apesland, will remain as CEO of Dtales and continue to lead the company and its expansion.
