Tacton announces Acquisition of Lumo Graphics

15 Nov 2016

Hamburg – Stockholm, Sweden – November 2016 – Tacton Systems, a leading global supplier of Configure Price Quote (CPQ) and Design Automation solutions, today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Lumo Graphics GmbH.

Lumo Graphics, based in Karlsruhe, Germany, provides software for 3D configuration visualization management and high-quality 3D visualization embedded in the CPQ tool. Its products LumoLogic and LumoVis enable users to instantly visualize the choices they make during product configuration and easily explore product variants. This delivers unique value to customers quickly and easily while helping to accelerate sales.

The integration of the former partner Lumo Graphics will provide additional opportunities to expand Tacton’s customer base, drive revenue growth and offers a one-stop-shopping of modern visual CPQ solutions.

“Lumo Graphics brings a very talented team to expand Tacton’s presence in Germany and an excellent industrial customer base in key European markets and the U.S.,” says Frederic Laziou, CEO of Tacton. “Our companies share a common view of integrated CPQ and visualization capabilities as key drivers of customer engagement. More and more, customers want to interact with their suppliers during a sales cycle. Visualization lets them see exactly what they will buy, and also helps reduce quoting errors and enhances communication between engineering, sales teams and customers.”

As part of Tacton, Lumo Graphics’ existing customers can rest assured that Lumo Graphics’ products will be supported for many years to come and that Tacton will invest in expanding the capabilities of its products. Tacton’s acquisition of Lumo Graphics is an endorsement of the quality and viability of its solutions now and into the future. Lumo Graphics’ products are offered as standalone and as part of Tacton CPQ.

“We are very excited to join Tacton and together we form a very strong team. Lumo Graphics is a leader in the field of visualization and Tacton is a leader in CPQ. Our combined solution, 3D CPQ, helps to offer the best product to every customer through instant insight and graphical documentation,” says Marc Herling, CEO of Lumo Graphics.
