Globalscope advise on sale of adQuota to Opera Mediaworks

26 Oct 2015

Danish company adQuota, a leading mobile advertising network across Scandinavia and the Baltic states, has been sold to Opera Mediaworks, a US subsidiary of the publicly listed Norwegian Opera Software ASA (OPERA:Oslo).

adQuota will be able to expand its service portfolio by now being part of one of the world’s largest independent platforms for mobile advertising. Opera Mediaworks’ ad platform reaches 1.1 billion consumers and more than 19,000 websites and apps globally. It services 90 percent of Advertising Age’s Top 100 Advertisers as well as 18 of the world’s 25 largest media agencies.

adQuota’s customers will benefit from better targeting, reach, measurement, programmatic tools and new formats like Instant-Play HD video and other rich media while their media partners will be able to increase revenues with access to global campaigns through Opera Mediaworks’ worldwide syndication.

The deal gives Opera Mediaworks a significant presence in the Nordic market for mobile ads which it lacked despite its Norwegian roots.

Globalscope advised adQuota International ApS and and its shareholders on the sale of the business.
