Carlsquare advised pflege.de / web care LBJ GmbH on the sale to Paul Hartmann AG

Paul Hartmann AG acquired web care LBJ GmbH, operator of pflege.de, the online platform covering all aspects of care for the elderly and living in old age.

pflege.de is Germany’s leading platform for all aspects of living in old age and attracts around 10 million visitors a year. The platform provides comprehensive and practical information for people in need of care and their relatives on all relevant care topics. Qualified care consultants also provide free telephone advice on rights and entitlements in the event of a need for care and help those affected to organize and optimize their care. In addition, pflege.de offers a home subscription service for nursing aids for consumption under the curabox brand. pflege.de is operated by web care LBJ GmbH, which was founded in 2011 by Lars Kilchert and others.

In several rounds of financing, pflege.de has been able to raise several million euros in growth capital in recent years. Investors included Holtzbrinck Digital GmbH, the company builder Hanse Ventures, Alstin Family GmbH, Schlutersche Verlagsgesellschaft, Aschendorff Medien GmbH und Co. KG, PDV Inter-Media Venture GmbH and KfW (Kreditanstalt fur Wiederaufbau).
